The blessing of coaching, mentoring and fathering

Coaching, mentoring and fathering are as old as human history, human civilisation and human cultures. All three involve a relational process where experience, skills and values are passed from an experienced person to another less experienced, from experienced persons to other persons or a group and even from one generation to another generation. If leaders, coaches mentors and fathers could be sensitive to the needs of the youth who are the cream, flowers and the future we could have a better world for all. We must have a succession plan in place regarding leadership both in the church and in society. Failing to do so we will not be able to pass on the baton and the torch of leadership to the youth who are the future generation of leaders. If succession can be effectively implemented, we can be sure of development, prosperity and a healthy South Africa, Africa and the Global Village.
